In conversation with Jeffrey Walker, philanthropist and co-host, Elena highlighted Tostan’s work around the Community Empowerment Program, creating spaces in communities in Africa to have non-judgmental and inclusive open dialogue on their vision of wellbeing.
“There is a psychological reactance in telling people what to do. And so Tostan was really coming from a place of respect with the information, with no judgment, with no imposition, with no agenda,” she said.
