Today Tostan in The Gambia commemorated Tostan’s 30 years anniversary in our offices in Basse!
This was witnessed by partner communities in URR and CRR, but also Social Mobilization Agents, women leaders, district and technnical advisers community members, the two governors of Upper River Region and the governor of Central River Region where Tostan is currently working in 60 communities.
It was commemorated through various activities in order to reinforce the work we are doing. The staff was also invited, supervisors and some partners in the communities in CRR, so that they can also learn from the testimonies given by those in URR. Communities members were given the opportunity to speak to give stories about the outcomes and impact of Tostan’s program in the Upper River Region. Social Mobilization Agents also gave testimonies on their work with Tostan. Technical partners, local authorities and women leaders also spoke to the public.
