The Hearth Summit Thiès

Join us at The Hearth Summit Thiès, a wellbeing summit for social change hosted by Tostan from October 7-9, in Thiès, Senegal,  in collaboration with The Wellbeing Project.  Building on momentum from The Wellbeing Summit Dakar-Thiès 2023,  The Hearth Summit Thiès will be a  transformative and creative gathering that connects local, national, and regional leaders across Africa to share and reflect on wellbeing in line with African values.

With a focus on “Eldership and Youth: An Intergenerational Conversation on Wellbeing”, this year’s summit offers an opportunity to explore the power of intergenerational dialogue and share practical solutions to foster a collective movement towards wellbeing in Africa.

🗓️Date: October 7-9th, 2024

📍Location: Tostan Training Center (TTC) in Thiès, Senegal

As young Africans, we are facing numerous social, economic, and technological pressures that impact our wellbeing and challenge our aspirations. Addressing these challenges in our communities, where relationships between elders and youth are essential, requires an intergenerational approach. The wisdom of our elders offers guidance and stability, while the fresh perspectives of youth inspire innovative solutions. This is what The Hearth Summit Thiès is all about : weaving a dialogue between our past and our present, harnessing the wisdom of our origins to build resilience today and fulfill our aspirations for the future
