Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Violence is a global pandemic—not confined to one country or one region. Violence impacts men and women, girls and boys, and it can have life-long impacts on those who experience it.
But today, and over the course of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, we tip our hats to the communities across West Africa who are putting an end to violence in their homes and villages.
It is nothing short of amazing what a human rights-based education can accomplish; with knowledge and dialogue comes community-led action and change.
Watch our brand new video, “Communities Ending Violence Against Women and Girls” to find out more on how Tostan communities are standing up for a life of dignity for all.
