On Thursday 9th February, 2023, Tostan hosted a globally reaching webinar in partnership with Catalyst 2030 to ask: How do partnerships move the needle towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa?
We were joined in discussion by an expert panel of keynote speakers: Louise Cord, Global Director for Social Sustainability and Inclusion, Sustainable Development Practice Group at the World Bank; Alex Kyerematen, Regional Director – Africa, at the Global Fund for Children; Yussuf Sane, Programme Leadership Team member at Tostan; moderated by Carina Ndiaye, Chief Partnerships Officer at Tostan.
In a fruitful and lively session, our panelists discussed a range of topics including social sustainability and how partnerships can support it; lessons learned from partnering at the grassroots, community level, and key success factors for galvanizing partnerships for the achievement of the SDGs in Africa.
The webinar coincided with the launch of Tostan’s Strategy 2023-2030: In Partnership for Community Well-being.
